You shall not fight in the battle.

Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves… And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments… and they were smitten… and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped. (2 Chronicles 20:17; 22:24, KJV)

From the above passages we learn that the children of Israel did not just sing and praise God, but first they had to set themselves in a proper position with God. That means there is where to stand to provoke God to action. And they began to sing and praise God and He moved. No wonder the bible says God inhabits the praises of His people; Psalms 22:3. They did not come to Him complaining about heaven and earth, rather they sang and praised God which shows they had confidence in His abilities. And God set ambushments against their enemies, smite them and none escaped. I always say our God battles with commando tactics. He deals with our enemies in ways such that our human minds can not comprehend how He does it. In summary, they first had a relationship with God, after which they seeked His face and made their request known to Him and went ahead to be thankful, even before they went to war and at the end of the day they didn’t have to fight. What is that challenge you are facing today? First you must be born again and if you already are, look inward and ensure your ways are right with Him. Then make your petitions known to Him then go ahead, sing praises, dance and worship Him and soon enough your enemies shall all be smitten and none will escape in Jesus name!
