Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. (Matthew 5:14, KJV)
If one stands at one end of a 5 kilometres stretch dark hall and a stick of match is lit at the other end, the ray from that end will be seen from your end. This is because light dispels darkness.
The above passage says “you are the light of this world…” Not you will be the light. What this means is that your presence will always dispel the power of darkness wherever you go. The passage also goes further to say you are “…A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” Wonderful!
You are a light placed on a hill! Means you cannot even hide because you’re strategically positioned by God!
Now see John 1:5;
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Putting both passages together, what God is saying to you this morning is that your glory cannot be hidden, stolen or truncated! Where God has planted you is such that your glory will not only dispel darkness, but that darkness, after it has been dispelled will see your glory shine bright but can do nothing about it!
Perhaps you still do not understand what the above means, it says you are the light of your generation, a solution provider to many nations, an undisputed blessing to mankind and whatever could not stop the glorious resurrection of our Lord and Master Jesus Christ cannot stop you. You will dispel every darkness wherever you go and the glory of God will be seen!
If you believe you are that one, why not shout a glorious HALLELUYAH to the Most High God, because it is well with you!
