“Let him who thinks he is standing take heed lest he falls.” (1 Corinthians 10:12, KJV)
Not long ago I had a revelation where I saw myself in church during choir rehearsal and we were directed to the upper part of the church auditorium to continue our rehearsals. Just as soon as we were about to settle in, a lady amongst us started dancing seductively, twisting and twerking vigorously. And before we knew what was happening, a brother immediately stood up, resting his face behind her waist very close to her buttocks as she danced.
I immediately stood up to reprimand them saying “THE DEVIL DOES NOT WANT YOU TO MAKE HEAVEN, THE DEVIL DOES NOT WANT YOU TO MAKE HEAVEN“.
Even though I sincerely believe in my spirit that this is a warning for choristers, it also serves as a warning for the body of Christ.
It is true that one major way the devil attacks choristers is through sexual sin but the Spirit of God will always sound the alarm in our hearts, nudging us when we are about to cross our threshold but sadly many do not listen.
As God’s children, the devil doesn’t want us to make heaven, whether choristers or not, that is why he keeps using sin to trap people but we must learn to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit and know when to draw the line.
Sadly, in these end times, so many believers have yielded themselves to sin that it has become their lifestyle.
So many have drifted away without knowing but so that we are not carried away and get used to sin, Apostle Paul admonished us to consistently examine ourselves:
“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” (2 Corinthians 13:5)
In these critical times that we live in, we need to critically examine ourselves and the things we do.
Are we still on the Master’s business?
If your answer is yes, then stay focused, don’t lose the connection with the Lord so that no vacuum will be created for sin or the devil to triumph over you.
It is not about having a great voice or about the anointing you carry, the question is “does God identify you as His child?”
“Are your standards meant to please men more than God?”
“Do you offer sacrifices of praise or simply entertain the congregation for material benefits?”
Whatever your answers are would tell you where you truly stand.
It is my prayer that we will all make heaven and sing Hallelujah along with the host of angels in eternity, in Jesus Name.
God bless you real good!
