But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. (Psalms 22:3, KJV)

A few years ago I was out doing my business at a printing press when I noticed that the young men attending to me started leaving one after the other because one of them came in to whisper something to them. After a few minutes, I also went out to see what was happening only to discover that they were showering praises on someone and the man in return started sharing lots of Naira notes to them. When they returned, I asked who the man was and to my surprise, one of the boys said they didn’t know him. That they overheard him and his friend saying they had just sold a plot of land and that he had some money on him so they started reigning praises on him; THE POWER OF PRAISE!

The above scripture says that God inhabits in praise, that is, He lives in praise. In Daniel 10:12, it was an angel God sent to deliver the answer to Daniel’s request. Also in Acts 12:7-8, it was an angel God sent to deliver Peter from prison. But when it comes to singing praises to the Most High God, it is He Himself that does the delivery.

However, in Acts 16:25-26, Paul and Silas being in chains sang praises to God and God Himself came down to set them free and thus the foundation of the prison shook and everyone around knew something had happened.

Very soon, as you begin to praise him, the foundation of your life will shake and men would know that God is on your side!

When the enemies of God’s people came against them in 2 Chronicles 20, God said in verse 17, don’t worry, the battle is mine, just praise me. And in verse 22, as their praises went up, God came down to deal with their enemies.

From today, as you begin to praise God, all your enemies will be in trouble, in Jesus Name!

Also in Joshua 6, when God’s people were faced with an obstacle, God told them, don’t worry, just sing praises, and in verse 20, when their praises went up, God came down to level the obstacle blocking them.

In 2015, I met a man in Port Harcourt who shared his experience. He said when his wife was to put to birth, she had been in labour for several hours and even the doctors became confused. But he remembered what God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo once said: “where prayer fails, try praise“, so he switched gear and before he danced and praised for an hour, God Himself came down to deliver the baby.

What are you trusting God for? Has prayer failed? Then it’s time to praise!

From today, as you engage the power of praise, all your enemies will be in trouble, in Jesus Name!

It is well with you!
