Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? (Genesis 3:1, KJV)
A lot of people do not know that God lies. And I know saying this may get you murmuring but the truth remains that He lies sometimes, not because He wants to but because we make Him a liar.
When we ask the question: “are you sure God can?” what we are indirectly saying is that we don’t trust Him enough to do what He says He will do.
Whether we believe Him or not does not make Him a liar and far be it for God to lie. Not that He won’t lie, but He can NEVER lie! When He says do not lie yet we go on to tell a lie, we simply say He is not to be trusted. When He says the wages of sin is death and we go on in sin, we are simply saying that we cannot die by sin.
We have called God a liar by sexual perversion and immorality. We have called Him a liar by being fraudulent in our dealings with others. We have called Him a thief for asking for our tithes and offering. We have so dented His Name for telling us the truth. We say He is the liar, yet He still offers us friendship and we who are supposed to beg and cry after Him still stands to tell Him He doesn’t deserve our friendship. What an irony!
Dear friends, any time we believe the lie of the devil by asking ourselves the question “hath God said? And acting contrary to God’s instruction, we call Him a liar, whether directly or indirectly.
And today, even though we have called Him Names He says
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18, KJV.
I have decided to heed His call. Will you?
It is well with you!
