WHAT IS IN THY HAND?

And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod. (Exodus 4:2, KJV)
Our God is a God of plan and purpose. A God that does things accordingly; He does not do things haphazardly that is why the bible says in 2 Thessalonians 3:10… if any would not work, neither should he eat.
A lot of people in our society today want everything but do not want to pay the price for anything, yet they forget that God requires of us a certain level of commitment in other for Him to act on our behalf.
Even Jesus Christ had to command that they fill up the empty pots for Him to give the people that which they needed – John 2:1-11.
He fed the multitude out of what the disciples presented – John 6:5-12.
Elijah asked the widow of Zarephath what she had, from there a miracle was birthed – 1 Kings 17:7-16
Elisha also instructed the widow of the son of the prophet what she had and God used it to help her. – 2 Kings 4:1-7
A few years ago when I had nothing doing, yet was trusting God for a breakthrough, I would pray like my life depended on it yet would go nowhere or do anything until one day the Lord spoke a Word to my spirit.
He said I would pray forever and get no answer if I did not work. That I am asking for His blessings, but from what would He bless me if I did not work?
He required of me to be active with something, and on that He would breath the required blessings.
It pains my soul greatly when I see or hear people say they have no job.
Someone once told me he had no job and I said congratulations, you now have a job. He ask how? And I told him to go and market the services my organisation offers and when he brings a business, he would get a commission. He got upset and reiterated that he needs a job, and I repeated what I said. Even his friend advised him on the offer for which he said okay, but until now he is yet to finalize with himself, yet still goes about complaining there is no job.
A lady with a doctorate degree once had issues with her business so she went for a programme and heard a voice say “vegetables”, not knowing what it means, asked to see the man of God who in turn told her to go and sell vegetables. She got upset and left yet things remained on the same spot.
Reluctantly, she started planting vegetables behind her house and before you know it she built a magnificent house from the proceed.
In her testimony, she said no other person sells until she exhausts hers.
Perhaps you’re reading this and still complaining of lack, the question now is; what is in your hands?
It may seem insignificant like the rod of Moses, but if you dare to start with it, you will be amazed at your end result like the great miracles God did with Moses’ rod.
Until you engage yourself with something, don’t expect to receive anything from the Lord.
May God give you wisdom and understanding, in Jesus Name!
It is well with you!
