WAHALA NO DEY FINISH

“Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble. (Job 14:1, KJV)”

I saw the advert of a particular food outlet in Ibadan, Oyo State, which made me laugh. Though funny, it sends a very strong message.

It reads: WAHALA NO DEY FINISH. ENJOY!

I have heard so many believers when preaching to people, give them a false assurance that once they give their lives to Christ then all their troubles would be over. Well, I don’t know where and how they got that because Jesus Christ Himself said in John 16:33:

“… In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer…"

Translating the above to our local palace, it will read: WAHALA NO DEY FINISH BUT ENJOY!

Even Jesus Christ Himself had so many troubles and challenges during His earthly walk, however, He won us the victory on the cross.

Dear friends, life is full of ups and downs but the challenges of life are nothing compared to the glory to come. No wonder 2 Corinthians 4:17 says:

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;”

Challenges are only temporary and they will pass.

I once had the privilege of speaking with someone who was contemplating suicide and she reeled out a list of everything she thought were good enough to end it, but after I told her about my own story, she could only ask how I have managed to always wear a smile.

The answer is simple; WHERE I AM IS NOTHING COMPARED TO THE GLORY OF WHERE GOD IS TAKING ME.

It may not look it right now but I trust God enough to take me there and the little steps I have had to take to follow Him has always resulted in testimonies and that in itself is enough reason to keep following Him.

Beloved, what challenges has life thrown at you? They’re meant to make you, not break you so enjoy because wahala no dey finish.

Peradventure the devil is trying to deceive you to just end it, dear friend, he has seen the glory that is to come for you and wants to stall it. So cheer up because wahala no dey finish.

I pray for you, receive grace to keep standing in Jesus Precious Name!

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, I refuse to listen to the lies of the devil, rather, I want to thank You for where you’re taking me, in Jesus Mighty Name!

You are blessed!
