THE WOUNDED ONES!

And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. (Luke 10:30, KJV)

Wounds do not just grow on bodies if there is no cause. Wounds can either be self inflicted or caused by others. Certain wounds are caused on purpose by our enemies to inflict pains on us and from our reading we see that the travellers’ wounds were not self inflicted but caused by the enemies and this brings to mind the Word of God in John 10:10;

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy….”

The operations of thieves is such that leaves scars on people and these scars could be either spiritual, physical, psychological or emotional.

There are wounds in some lives that have been caused by self, family, friends or the devil, but whatever the wounds are, Jesus Christ will heal you if you let Him!

The journey of life is not one to be taken with levity because many a times those things we take for granted are those things we should not toy with. The little sin we say does not matter may be such that matters most.

The traveller in our reading set out on a purpose to Jericho but was accosted by thieves; enemies of progress. But thank God for the good Samaritan.

May every enemy on your path to progress die by the fire of the Holy Ghost!

The devil knows how beautiful our future is and so tries to stop us from reaching it, but Christ will deliver us in Jesus name!

John 10:10B says;

“… I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

So no matter what your case is, as wounds needs treatment, so does our soul need Jesus to heal its wounds. Sin is a wile the devil use to wound us, accept Jesus today!

It is well with you!
