THE SHORTCUT TO HEAVEN!

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. (Proverbs 14:12, KJV)

Bishop David Oyedepo once said: “to go on a journey you have never gone before, you need direction from those that have gone there.”

My father also use to say following the straight paths in life is always better than cutting corners.

What he simply meant was that following shortcuts in life’s journey may not lead us to our destination.

In the journey towards excellence in life we encounter different obstacles that presents themselves as the route to our destinations and if we make the mistakes of following such paths, soon one would realise he has made a mistake. Imagine someone leave his house with the intention of travelling to Benin, upon getting to the divert that leads to Benin, he sees a sign board on the other side that says “IBADAN” and decides to go that route. He would either end his journey at Ibadan, which he never intended to go in the first place or make a u-turn afterwards which would also mean a waste of time when he would have covered a reasonable distance to Benin.

So is our journey to heaven. No one has gone there and come back to tell use the route to heaven but Jesus Christ alone and His direction for us to get there is clearly documented in the scriptures; the Bible. So following any other route against what is prescribed in God’s Word is a mis-direction.

I have heard people argue that we can live, talk, dress, eat and think as we like, that God’s grace has covered for us through the death of Jesus on the cross. Yes! The death of Jesus has indeed covered for us, but we owe God and ourselves the responsibility to change the way we live, talk, dress, eat and think!

This is the last days and many false prophets are there to either enrich themselves or to lead people to hell for their master the devil.

If anybody teaches you the principles of wealth and principles of how to get to heaven without holiness, then it is time to flee.

Though biblical recommendations may seem difficult but God always provides an oasis in the desert path to heaven.

I pray that in the journey to heaven, you will not miss it. You will not be found wanting and God will give you grace to get there, even as you consciously walk in His path, in Jesus Mighty Name!

Remain blessed.

Read Romans 12:1-2, Colossians 4:6, Philippians 4:8, 1 Corinthians 10:31.

It is well with you!
