The patient dog.

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. (Psalms 27:14, KJV)

There’s a proverb that says the patient dog eats the fattest bone, but I say it depends on what the patient dog does while waiting to eat the fattest bone. If it waits by sitting idle, then I can guarantee it will indeed be patient to wait the rest of its life. When the Word of God says wait on the Lord, it means to be diligent at what you do while you trust God to give you the yield you desire. It may not be as though your efforts are yielding, but in your heart’s eyes you see great achievements and then you persist while trusting God to prosper you. But if a patient dog decides to be “sit down look” yet says it is waiting to eat the fattest bone, then your guess would be as good as mine. Or may be someday a bag of bones will fall from the sky. I pray for you, as you go about your day today, the grace to see unlimited opportunities where others see failure be given to you by our God of endless possibilities in Jesus name! And you too shall see that all will only get better for you! It is well. Good morning.
