And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. (Acts16:25, KJV)
There was a woman whose baby was so gentle, but a time came that the baby would cry all night. She did all she could but the baby would not just stop. One midnight she woke up and prayed then alas! She fell into a trance and an Angel of God came and took her on a journey to a coven where she saw some people, all dressed in black flogging something at the centre. The Angel of God told her to look closely and surprisingly it was her child they were flogging. The Angel of God ordered her to go pick him up, she did and they came back and that was the end of the incessant cry.
The midnight hour is a crucial hour in a one’s life, not only that, it is also a delicate time because it is a time when destinies are either altered by evil forces or where destinies are transformed for good.
The bible says in Matthew 13:25;
“But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.”
The midnight hour is a time when the forces of darkness converge to decide the destinies of some people, because that is the time when sleep seems sweetest and when you wake some people up by that time, they may even fight you because that is when they think it is proper to sleep. Indeed it is proper to sleep at that time, but it is also the best time to wrestle for a change; the time when you pull down evil alters and lay foundations of greatness.
In the account of Jacob and Esau, Esau had vowed to finish his brother when he lays his hands on him, but in Genesis 32:24-29, at midnight Jacob wrestled and at dawn his story changed for good.
Midnight as defined by wikipedia is the transition time period from one day to the next: the moment when date changes.
Notice these in the above definition; “transition”, “the moment when date changes.” Meaning the midnight hour is a time when destinies are changed.
In Acts 16:25, Paul and Silas where jailed and at midnight they prayed and praised and their chains where broken, and even their jailer had no option but to repent because he saw what he had never seen.
To sleep is good, but to pray is better.
What is it that you have been trusting God for but seems you can not lay hold of. Why not take the battle to the enemy camp at midnight and return every arrow sent against you back to sender?
May the Lord give you victory over all your enemies in Jesus name!
It is well with you!
Prayer point:
Father, restore whatever the enemies have altered in my life, in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ.
