THE GENERATION OF THE UPRIGHT!

Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever. (Psalms 112:1-3, KJV)

There are blessings and there are blessings.

Whilst some blessings are individualistic in nature, that is, the fellow could be the only one that is blessed in his or her entire family, another kind of blessing is what I would like to call the unique family blessing. This type of blessing is the kind that is limited to a particular family. In an entire family, a particular family could be singled out to be blessed.

However, there is a form of blessing that transcends the individual and family types of blessings, and I would like to call it the generational kind of blessing.

This is the kind of blessing that continues to speak for generations even after one is gone.

This kind of blessing can not be doubted because for generations, the blessing will continue to speak for one’s children and their generations to come. No wonder the Bible says in our reading above that the generation of the upright shall be blessed because it continues speaking for generations to come. That is why the Bible says in Proverbs 10:22

“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”

This is the kind of blessing that we are talking about.

This kind of blessing is provoked by righteousness and because God loves the righteous, He ensures that their seed does not ever lack any good thing, even after they are gone.

How did I know? See Psalm 34:10

“The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.”

So what point am I driving at this morning?

Because you are a redeemed of the Lord, a righteous generation, this blessing has been preserved for you and your generation!

Where others struggle to survive, you and your entire generation will be channels of blessings, in the Name of Jesus!

God makes rich and adds no sorrow to it, therefore, I declare sorrow and pain far from your dwelling, in the Name of Jesus!

From today and for the rest of your life, every day shall be testimony filled for you, in the Name of Jesus!

Today is declared blessed for you. Keep swimming in His glory, in Jesus Precious Name!

Prayer Point:

Father, make me a channel of blessing to my generation, in Jesus Name!
