“A woman who had suffered a condition of hemorrhaging for twelve years… She was thinking to herself, “If I can put a finger on his robe, I can get well.” (Mark 5:25-28, MSG)
A black man went to eat at a restaurant and decided to seat by a man whom he didn’t know was a racist. The man looked at the black man in the eyes and said “birds and pigs don’t sit together so shuuu….” So the black man stood up, got his food and replied “Yes, I am a bird so I will fly away” making the racist ashamed of himself.
The racist actually meant it to ridicule the black man by calling him a pig, but rather than allow the negative words get to him saw himself rather as the bird.
No matter what others see or say about you, what you see and say to yourself is what matters most. As a matter of fact, according to one study, 96% of adults say they have an internal dialogue while another showed that we talk more with ourselves than we do with others. The question now is “WHAT DO YOU SAY TO YOURSELF?”
The woman with the issue of blood must have been talked down on and called all sorts of unprintable names yet they didn’t matter to her. All she cared about was what she thought within herself “…IF I CAN PUT A FINGER ON HIS ROBE, I CAN GET WELL.” That was all she needed to get her healing.
Beloved, I challenge you to look above the insults and criticisms and focus rather on the positive values in you then press towards that which you have set out to achieve and I assure you that as God lives, they will turn to you for a testimony.
I pray for you, child of God, may all your mockers and those who have made ridicule of you be the same people to share your testimony on your behalf, in Jesus Precious Name!
