SPIRITUAL SICKNESS!

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (1 John 2:15, KJV)

Love not the world is a clear command, not an option or opinion. And the reading above says whoever loves the world does not have the love of God, and God in His infinite mercy and grace, not wanting the world to perish gave us His Son

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

God gave His Son to redeem the world and the church was born as a place where those who are spiritually sick comes for treatment but the church is gradually falling sick owing to compromise, and those who have not fallen sick are being admonished to put the truth aside and preach what soothes the world.

God gave the church to the world, not the world to the church.

John 15:19 says:

“If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.”

Not wanting to be hated some now preach compromise saying let us preach tolerance.

Just recently a certain church in America opened her doors for another religion that do not believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, to come pray in it and said we should preach tolerance. And yes we would, but will they allow Christians into their place of worship to pray?

It is high time the church took her stand against carnality and worldly compromise and say “NO” to sin and it’s related vices. God bless my father, Pastor Doyin Jibodu who said the church is as hot as the fire you bring in. And you and I are the church, not the building. So decide today to be amongst those whose fire will light up the church.
