But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. (John 5:17, KJV)
From the above passage, it is very clear that God works!
My father Bishop David Oyedepo once said any faith that commits God 100% is irresponsibility.
There is the story of two young friends who were told that one would be a king and the other a slave. Not wanting to be a slave, the latter worked really hard, reminding himself daily that he would never be a slave, while the former relaxed and kept announcing how someday he would be a king. Eventually, the one who was told he would be a king ended up a slave, serving the latter. The difference between them is that one took steps to ensure he didn’t end up a slave while the other relaxed and refuse to do the needful.
Even if God speaks to you directly and you refuse to act accordingly, you will go no where!
Deuteronomy 2:24 says:
Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.
You must act accordingly to bring God’s Word to pass in your life else you will wait forever; TAKE ACTION, ACT NOW!
In John 9:1-7 when the man born blind came in contact with Jesus and was told to go and wash, if he had refused, he would have died blind. In 2 Kings chapter 5, Naaman would have died a leper had he refused to take instruction.
It is not enough to hear from God, but hearing, acting and following instructions completely is what matters.
In 1 Kings 5 a simple instruction was given to King Saul, instead he obey partially and paid the cost.
I don’t know what God has told you, but if you refuse to take responsibility, you will go nowhere.
But I know that from today, you will take responsibility, and then you will see results, in Jesus Name!
It is well with you!
