SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS NEGLECTED – SIN!

Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. (Proverbs 14:34, KJV)

Righteousness is the state of moral perfection required by God to enter heaven. And righteousness is one of the most prominent attributes of God according to the Scriptures.

A friend and a minister of the gospel once said: righteousness is what God marks right.

If the above definition of righteousness is true, then what is sin?

Sin is defined as an immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law. And is defined according to 1 John 3:4 as the transgression of the law of God.

Simply put, sin can be said to be the acronym of “Simply Instructions Neglected – SIN.”

From an educational stand point, we were taught that laws are meant to govern the affairs of a people because where there is no law there is no crime and everyone is free to do whatsoever pleases him which calls to mind the Word of God in Romans 4:15;

“Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.”

Today as a nation we cry because of the series of killings and kidnapping of the innocent but those in authority seem to be adamant of the whole thing because of the depth of corruption in the system. No wonder the bible says a house divided against itself cannot stand; Mark 3:25.

Jesus, in Matthew 7:5 said:

“Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.”

It is evident enough that the major cause(s) of the problems in Nigeria is a result of the sins of those in the sit of power because they have deviated from God’s ordainance and have soiled their hands with evil that is why they pay blind eyes to the happenings around and have no voice because their hands are dirty and the bible speaking in Psalms 11:3, says:

If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

The only solution to the problems of our nation today is found in Job 22:23

If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.

As a nation, it is time to return to our Maker with every sense of remorse and humility, and God, even our God will restore dignity to our nation.

NIGERIA WILL BE GREAT AGAIN.

It is well with you!
