I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. (Ecclesiastes 9:11, KJV)
We are in that season again when some people can dare to do things they have never done before! Some go into rituals, some inflate the prices of their commodities even when the market value remains constant. Some also bill their clients unjustly to “make more money” as it were, to spend for Christmas. And indeed, there are those who solely look up to heaven for divine provision. It sometimes makes one wonder if God has lost control over the affairs of men when people say “I” must make money. Is it God’s blessings that makes one rich or one’s own hustle?
Deuteronomy 8:18 says
But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
Our prosperity is not tired to our hustle but unto God. And when our reading says time and chance happens to them all, what the scripture mean is that man does not ultimately control the events of his own life. So one can hustle all his life and make nothing but “the blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” Not the hustle of man.
To get blessed of God, one needs to align himself with God because He blesses indeed that is why we have to seek after God and His righteousness and then every other thing will fall into place; Matthew 6:33.
God made the world in just 6 days so blessing you will not take Him an hour.
No matter the situation around you, I pray for grace to set your affection on things above, not on things beneath. You will make it, in Jesus Name!
It is well with you!
