Everything in life is framed by words, our words are very vital to building and shaping our destiny.
We know that in creation, God used His Word to call into being all that He created.
If God had thought of creating the world and kept quiet, everything we see now would not have been.
It surprises me during prayer in church that some people just seat down and look at others pray. They say a close mouth is a close destiny and the bible reiterates it in Luke 6:45:
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
No one can tell me he has a great prospect in life yet profess negativity.
There are those who in the name of joke call themselves names like craze, mad, idiot and so on. In the spiritual, there is nothing like joke, we reap the fruits of our words. – Proverbs 18:21
In 1 Kings 17, Elijah declared that there would be no rain in the land, the weather heard and obeyed.
He declare there is a sound of abundance of rain in 1 Kings 18 and the clouds gave way.
In 2 Kings 5, Naaman was instructed by Elisha to go deep himself seven times in river Jordan. He did and was recreated.
He also made a declaration 2 Kings 7 that turned the economy of a nation around in 24hours.
In Joshua 10:12-13, Joshua spoke to the sun and the moon and they stood still.
In Acts 9:17-18 Ananias declared to Saul who later became Paul… receive thy sight… and his sight was restored.
Its no news to say Jesus did most of His miracles by His Word and since He is our standard, it is only important that we control of our words.
From today, may the Lord give you the wisdom to control your words!
