Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (1 Peter 5:7, KJV)
Doubt is a form of atheism because it questions God’s ability to do what He says He will do. But Faith sees the invincible with God. I always say God is not a talkative. He is not a man who talks with pride and wants people to hear him talk. God’s Words are not only decrees, but they have creative powers, so when He talks, His Word becomes life, so He speaks when He would and not when man wants Him to. So when He says cast your cares on Him, He means business.
I love the way the “Amplified Bible” translates the above passage. It says;
“Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.”
What a profound statement!
It also calls to mind God’s Word in Philippians 4:6;
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
As children of the Most High God, we have absolutely no reason to worry about anything. All we need to do is take it to God in prayer and that settles it.
Even our earthly father can not and will never be able bear our burdens, yet God would go any length for us, no matter the burden or rejection from men.
A few months ago, I met a young man who was recently released from Kirikiri Maximum prison at that time after serving 9years for drug trafficking abroad. After serving his time, he went home and was rejected by those he loved but there was joy in heaven when he gave his life to Christ because Jesus said;
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28”
So when life gives you a burden to carry, remember we have a burden bearer who wants to carry all your load, take it to Him in prayer.
