LOOK UP TO GOD

“Let all the world look to me for salvation! For I am God; there is no other.” (Isaiah 45:22, NIV)

One of the problems we have as believers today is that a lot of people run around looking for help from men but claim to be looking up to God.

While there is absolutely nothing wrong in seeking assistance from those whom God has placed in our lives, there are certain things and situations that requires our absolute dependence on God, and at such times God expects us to separate ourselves in order to seek Him with all our hearts. That was the kind of situation in which Jacob found himself in and had to separate himself from his family in order to seek the face of God.

Bishop Oyedepo once told his experience that God asked him to look up with one eye and look down with another but when he couldn’t, the Lord told him never to look up to men and claim to be looking up to him.

Beloved, there are so many battles in life and some of these battles can cause us to become weary and confused that if not careful we might begin to seek help from the wrong places and then end up complicating matters.

To look up to God means laying it at His feet and saying let whatever You cannot do remain undone; it is saying, Lord, I have no help anywhere else besides You; it means saying, Lord, You alone are my help, and then truly surrendering all to Him.

The reason why we don’t get results or answers a lot of the time is because we only wish for answers while at other times we look elsewhere for solutions and pretend to be looking up to God when we have not truly separated ourselves.

There is no denying that certain situations can tempt us to look elsewhere, but if we can separate ourselves like Jacob did and wrestle things out in the place of prayer, then will our testimony be in sight.

Beloved, if there was ever a time to wrestle things out in the place of prayer, then that time is now.

I pray for you, may you receive speedy answers as you wrestle things out in the secret place while looking up to Him alone for divine intervention, in Jesus Precious Name!

You are blessed!
