And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the LORD: let him do what seemeth him good. (1 Samuel 3:18, KJV)
You will discover from the above passage that when the judgement of God came upon Eli he simply said “It is the LORD: let him do what seemeth him good.” So it is these days, when we sin against God, rather than run to Him for mercy, we say let him do what seemeth him good. Sometime ago, I was discussing with a friend about how the teenagers of her Parish were getting out of hand, and her response shocked me. She said she was chastising a young lady one day, telling her the implication of not yielding to God’s word and the young lady replied saying she had made up her mind to go to hell so my friend shouldn’t bother herself. This days, people are so comfortable with sin and immorality that the world celebrates it. What has God told you that you have refused to listen? Run to Him today for mercy, REPENT!!! And see what wonders He will perform in your life.
