Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. (Colossians 3:2, KJV)
There is the account of a man one can address as the rich fool in Luke 12:16-21. This man, after God blessed him, said to himself; “I have arrived” and he died eventually. The point is not to say we will die if we become rich. As a matter of fact, God wants us to be super rich but not at the expense of our souls. Luke 12:21 says “So is he that layeth up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.” And if you read downwards, you’ll discover God has made plans for us all but a lot of people can not wait for God’s plan to manifest, thus they strike deals with the devil at the expense of their souls. The reality of the times we live in today is such that people don’t care about the consequences of their actions. Some men will say to their “supposed fiancee, date or girl friend” if you love me sleep with me, and to convince him, she goes ahead cause she wants to be married. Some men would involve in ritual killing of some sort to make money just to influence women and to feel among. Here’s what God is saying;
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. (1 Corinthians 15:19)
Our target should be on the finish line; where will I go when I die? Will my actions today affect my eternity? Then you will be conscious of your actions.
Dear friend, as you go about today, please remember that everyone dies and no one knows his or her time, and as you do, I pray the Lord to give you the wisdom to live positively in Jesus name!
It is well with you.
