INTEGRITY: A PATHWAY TO FRUITFULNESS

“You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you.” (Genesis 41:40, NIV)

The story was told of a graduate of Civil Engineering whom after graduation could not find a good job so he paired himself with a friend who worked in a construction site.

Even though it was not what he wanted, he did the job with joy and contentment. And while others would steal some of the materials from the site, he stayed true to his faith and whenever he was greeted, his response was “Jehovah naa dindu – Jehovah lives.”

Not long afterwards, the expatriate who was in charge of the site decided to relocate to his country and nominated this brother to take charge from him.

According to the expatriate, they had observed him for a very long time and knew he was not like the other who were stealing materials from the site and that single act of integrity found him out and elevated him to a position he never expected.

Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.

It is standing for what is right at all times. It certainly will not be easy, but the end result is always priceless.

Like Joseph while in Potiphar’s house. He knew that his integrity was far more priceless than a momentary sexual gratification.

You see, if it were today, so many people would think it is an opportunity to get the best from their master’s wife, not knowing that what God has prepared is such that eyes have not seen nor ears heard.

Integrity may cost you, but at the end of the day, it will speak for you.

In a world where people would rather cut corners to get things done, even in church where people use activities to cover up their sinful ways, integrity will always stand you out.

It may not give you the immediate result that you desire but the end will always speak.
