But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. (Daniel 1:8, KJV)
The challenging circumstances of life does not define who we are. How we handle the challenges that confronts us is what defines who we really are.
Challenges are meant to stir us into taking actions that will help us discover the best in us, nonetheless, when some are confronted by challenges they give up, thinking challenges are the end point, not knowing that challenges stirs us to act; drives us to making wise choices.
Some do not see reasons to change, either because they think there is no hope anymore or that they have attained their peek.
Daniel had every reason to eat of the king’s portion, but determined to change against all odds.
Joseph had the choice of compromising his faith in God by sleeping with his master’s wife, but he chose change instead.
Your academic degrees does not guarantee a glorious destiny, only change does. And change does not come by wishful thinking or by waiting for the right time. It comes by making unbreakable decisions to make the desired change happen now.
Therefore, the right time to change is NOW!
However, there are 3 powerful tools amongst others that enhances your change process, and they are:
1. By enlightenment: The state of having knowledge or understanding – Ephesians 1:18.
2. By studying: The effort to acquire knowledge, as by reading, observation, or research – 2 Timothy 2:15.
3. Act: This is the process of doing – Romans 12:11
The key to maximising steps 1 and 2 above is step 3.
So, never allow obstacles, detractors or challenges stop you. And as you begin to ACT henceforth, I see you changing levels and breaking new grounds in Jesus Name!
