Therefore let him that thinketh he standeth, take heed lest he fall. (1 Corinthians 10:12, KJV)
The passage above admonishes us to guard our salvation with caution, not thinking we have reached the ultimate, because it may just be at that point where we think we’ve arrived that the unbelievable may just happen; fall into sin. As children of light, we must also be cautious of those little things that seem not to matter; unforgiveness, hate, pride, lust, gossips, covetousness, offences. The likes of “please let him be, I don’t talk to him”, “what does she think she is?” “What does he have that he’s feeling proud?” All these are free tickets to hell if one doesn’t repent. And they are what the Word of God calls the little foxes, that spoil the vines – Song of Solomon 2:15.
Dear friend, if the trumpet sounds now, will your name be found in the book of life?
