“For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.” (Proverbs 23:18, KJV)
Expectation is the belief that something will or should happen.
When we begin a project, we always have the end in view. For instance, when we start a building project, we do so with its completion in our heart, or when one gains admission into a higher institution, we do so believing we would graduate some day, and so on, because completing a project brings joy!
I have not seen anyone who begins a project without expecting to finish it but if for one reason or another things turn out to work against us, as humans, we begin to wonder why we started it in the first place.
You see, sometimes God allows things to go the other way because He wants to use them to build us and prepare us for something better than our earlier expectation.
In Genesis chapter 37 we find a young man called Joseph having dreams which made his expectations rise, yet he went through the exact opposite of his dreams.
The reality of Joseph’s life after the visions did not seem like anything good would come his way and I am sure that before things turned for his good he probably would have asked himself if his expectations would ever come through, but somehow, he held on knowing that God is able to do what He has promised.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING THROUGH?
For surely there is an end… and that end has come for you today!
An end has come for every unpleasantness in your life; an end has come to every delay, shame and disappointment because every mockery you have suffered will turn to you for a testimony, in Jesus Name!
I pray for you, beloved, whatever has delayed your lifting will become plain today, and thine expectation shall not be cut off in Jesus Name!
The Lord God Almighty who makes everything new in His time will make everything new for you, in Jesus Precious Name!
It is well with you!
