GOING TO AND FRO!

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. (James 1:8, KJV)
Someone once said that the word “focus” stands for: Follow One Course Until Successful. Which means to have a direction, a resolve to pursue until a purpose is achieved!
In my Junior Secondary School days, it was the norm for people to re-sit certain subjects; in Junior WAEC. Not because they failed outrightly, but because they did not get up to the required score that qualifies them for the next class; S. S. 1. So they are called to re-sit it. And that should be our approach to life.
The man Thomas Edison was told by his teacher that he was too stupid to learn anything. As a matter of fact, he was fired from his first two jobs for being non-productive. Nonetheless, he would not take failure as his way of life; God forbid!
He went ahead to be the inventor of light bulb.
Even at that, he failed over a thousand times, and his apprentice said they have failed and should give up, but he said “no, we have only discover a thousand ways not to make it work. Guess what. That’s what we are enjoying today, because someone refused to be tossed about.
What do we have today? Lazy men and women who want to make the best by doing nothing, or to do the least and get the best; men who give up when a task becomes daunting. Rather than remain undaunted, pressing on to get the best, they just toss it to start afresh with something else when they are at the verge of their breakthrough.
Mohammed Ali was once asked how many push ups he does daily and his response was: I don’t count until it starts hurting because that is when it counts; a resolve not to give up!
To be tossed to and fro; aimlessly, is an attribute of the devil;
… Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From “GOING TO and FRO” in the earth, and from “WALKING UP and DOWN in it. (Job 1:7)

“… a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.”
James 1:6 and 7 says:
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
Even as children of God we sometimes get discouraged, but our heavenly Father expects us to take a stand, not wavering. So the next time discouragement comes, rather than give in and be tossed to and fro, take a stand, and as you do, the Lord Himself will make a way for you, in Jesus Precious Name. Amen!
It is well with you!
