FOLLOWING HIS LEAD!

Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. (Isaiah 48:17, KJV)

They say when the purpose of a thing is not known, then abuse is inevitable! So also, if we don’t know why the Holy Spirit was given, then we would be misled.

John 16:13 says:

“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth…”

One of the responsibilities of the Holy Spirit to us is to guide us, but that is subject to our willingness to follow His lead.

The safest and surest way to get to where God has purpose for us is to follow the leading of the One He has sent; the Holy Spirit.

It is very difficult to follow His leading sometimes because it defiles sense reasoning, and we feel like letting go.

Truth be told, it is becoming increasingly more difficult to be a genuine worshipper today because of the diverse, dangerous social norms, satanic ideals and doctrines being propagated in the world, but we owe ourselves the responsibility to press on, knowing that we are not alone in the race:

“Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. (1 Peter 5:9, KJV)”

And most importantly, keeping our eyes on the ultimate goal, which is to make heaven.

We now live in a world where righteousness is no longer appealing and sin has become the new normal, and holiness, a thing meant for those who know nothing.

The truth remains that you cannot follow the devil’s leading and expect to get to where God has destined for you.

If you board a bus going to Oshodi when you’re meant to be heading the other direction, you will never get to your destination.

So to get to where God has destined for you, you have no other alternative but to follow Him, because He is the One who knows all things, and knows exactly how to get you there and it is only then that your profiting will appear to all (1 Timothy 4:15), and that is the only way you can be sure to get to where you are meant to be.

It is my prayer for you today that the Lord strengthen and uphold you to live right before Him, even as we await the joyful return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, in Jesus Precious Name!
