The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed. (John 5:10, KJV)
When I was much younger, one thing we use to write as a part of our hobby on our curriculum vitae was MAKING NEW FRIENDS. While it is good to make new friends, it is important to note that we cannot be friends with just anyone but with good and trusted people; those who share same values as we do and those who can be there for us through any situation or challenges, encouraging us to see beyond the momentary setbacks and challenges even when we feel we have no reason to hold on.
While growing up I had a friend who saw everything I was doing as a competition with him. The sooner I realized and gave him some distance, the better it was for me.
While it is okay for one’s friend to try to achieve what one has achieved or get to the level where the Lord has taken you, it must never be on the basis of an unhealthy competition because life is not a do or die affair.
The amazing thing about friends who engage themselves in unhealthy competition is that they pretend to be ones friend but are truly not, because once you succeed, they become envious, offended and possibly a risk to your life, especially when God has placed you where their effort cannot take them.
In Mark chapter 2 from verse 1 to 5, we see a group of four who went the extra mile for the man who was sick of Palsy.
These ones would not accept the excuse that there was no room to go in, as such, they deviced a means to ensure the sick man met the Master.
I believe they said to themselves, “today, no matter what we go through, we will ensure you meet with Jesus and He will heal you” and they did their best to making sure it happened.
I am also sure that while they were tearing the house roof apart, some people must have not only insulted them but also tried to drag them down, but they refused, saying their friend must be healed today! These are true friends.
In John chapter 5 verse 10, we see how wicked some people can be. Rather than rejoice with the man who had been healed of a 38 years affliction, the Jews would rather complain about it being a Sabbath day. So basically, they were saying “who asked you to be healed when you’re suppose to be bed ridden?” They would rather he died in his affliction; dream killers. As would some evil friends.
Please note that the one of the reasons that man stayed by the pool side for 38 years was because he had no one to put him into the pool when the angel comes. The question now is, where were his family and friends? I leave you to answer that.
Also, we see the account of the woman with the issue of blood in Matthew chapter 9 verses 20 to 22. Dream killers who did not want her to be healed were yelling at her saying “smelling woman, get away from here! Your smell is so terrible and He will not have your time”, but instead of giving up, she pressed on for the Master and became healed.
In Mark 10:46-52, when Bartimaeus, then blind, was beckoning on the Master, the dream killers who were there asked him to shut up that he was disturbing, not wanting him to fulfill his destiny, but rather than keep quiet, he shouted even more and got his healing!
I decree, anyone trying to stop you from fulfilling your dream will by their own hands assist you to fulfill it, in Jesus Name!
Dream killers will always have reasons to give you for wanting to stop you from reaching your glorious destiny, but my dear friend, look beyond them; overlook the privailing circumstances; ignore their negative remarks and distractions and press on for the mark where your reward is, and at the end, every dream killer who tried to stop you from reaching your goal will be put to shame and you will be glad you never gave up!
I pray, from today, every enemy in disguise as a friend, trying to destroy your glorious destiny will receive the fire of God and be disgraced out of your life in Jesus Mighty Name!
Prayer Point: Father, purge my life of every dream killer and connect me with men and women who have the same value as I have and help us fulfill destiny in grandstyle, in Jesus Precious Name!
You are blessed!
