covenant keeping God.

My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. (Psalms 89:34, KJV

A covenant is a strong agreement between two parties with its terms very clearly spelt out and the sanctions attached to its breach unambiguously stated at the onset. Hence we should be very careful.

In Genesis chapter 2, God made a covenant with man and in chapter 12 verse 2, He made a covenant with Abraham and his descendants and because God is a covenant keeping God, that covenant is still in existence till today.

A lot of people in time past have made one form of covenant or the other and are battling with the resultant consequences today because they never knew the effect of violating a covenant. But glory be to God because now we have a spiritual covenant with God in Christ. So no matter what covenant you have made with the devil in your past, today the Lord is willing and able to set you free if you surrender to Him. And if you are already saved, here’s good news for you: blessed is them that bless you, and curse is them that curse you.
