But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. (1 Corinthians 2:7-8, KJV)
To come up higher means to change levels and we know that for there to be a change in level, an examination is required.
The above passage says …for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
If the devil knew he was working for the fulfilment of our redemption, he would not have allowed the crucifixion of Christ and that is exactly what God is saying to you today, that the present trials and challenges the enemy thinks he is using against you is actually preparing you for a greater glory that will write off all your current unpleasant situations.
When the devil moved men to crucify our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, he was very happy and thought to himself: FINALLY, i GOT HIM! Little did he know that he was only facilitating the fulfilment of a divine plan and purpose for you and I to be saved.
Dear friend, the devil might have moved situations or challenges your way and think he is causing you pains, but what he does not realized is that those circumstances are actually working a greater purpose for you!
Apostle Paul being a man that understood what persecution means, tells us in Romans 8:18 and in 2 Corinthians 4:17 that the end result of our present challenges have not only earthly benefits, but eternal ones, and that if we stand strong till the very end, we will see the reward. And thus enjoins us in 2 Timothy 2:3:
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
Brethren, there is no doubt that God sometimes uses trials and challenges to step us up to the NEXT LEVEL that is why James 1:2-4 charges us thus:
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
So, however tough the challenges the devil has brought your way today, at the end he will end up working for God, causing that situation to take you higher. Hallelujah!!!
How do I know? Luke 21:13 says:
And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
The Lord is saying to you today, to COME UP HIGHER. But it is not by force! It is meant only for those who are interested.
Bishop David Oyedepo once said that God told him: there is room at the top if you are interested.
No wonder Isaiah 1:19 says:
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
God’s call to come up higher requires not only a desire for a change in level, but a willingness to pay the price by persevering through the present trials and challenges that you may be facing right now, and at the end, your glory would be in view!
I pray for you in the Name of Jesus Christ the Son of God, very soon you will look back to see how far God has brought you and begin to sing songs praises to His Name because indeed, you would have COME UP HIGHER, in Jesus Precious Name! Amen!
