BUILDING YOUR FAITH IN GOD’s WORD!

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17, KJV)

Faith can be defined as having complete trust or confidence in someone or something or a strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.

Lack of faith in God’s Word is a sin because doubt and unbelief are ways of saying God cannot do what He says He would.

Faith is not only believing in the unseen, but acting on them, knowing that God has made provision for them to you. And Hebrews 11 verse 3 says:

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the “word of God…”

Coming back to our lives, I have discovered that most people just go to church or read the bible like just any other book but lack complete trust in what it says.

Many times when people discuss issues of their challenges with me and I try to encourage them based on God’s Word, it always seems like I am speaking a language they do not understand because to them faith should be measured by their church attendance and not what God’s Word says.

Recently I was discussing with a very dear friend on a certain issue and the fellow sincerely opened up and said; “I have completely lost faith in God”

The difference between an unbeliever and a believer is the fact that the believer when faced with challenges finds solace in God’s Word because he/she is a child of God;

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. (1 John 5:4)

Did you know that there are drugs called “Placebo”?

These are substances that contains no medication and prescribed to reinforce a patient’s expectation to get well, they use them and get well because they programme their minds to believe they are being treated.

How much more is God’s Word that is ALIVE?

People read and ignore it forgetting that Faith cometh by hearing God’s Word and the Word is Jesus Christ so when you meditate on God’s Word and believe what is says, it sheds the life of Christ in our hearts and it reflects in us.

Whenever you are faced with challenges and doubt, run to the Word, confess what it says, hold on to it and believe God has done it and it will manifest in your life.

I pray, may God’s Word come alive in your heart and stir you into believing in the supernatural intervention of God in all your situations in Jesus name!

It is well with you!
