BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS

Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: (Acts 9:13, KJV)

Sometimes life can be so challenging that we begin to ask ourselves if God truly loves us, and how a loving and amazing God would allow us pass through certain difficulties that even a few end up giving up their faith.

Life has taught me some valid lessons in the school of faith. One of which is to never judge my current situation as the sum total of my life because spiritual things can never be explained away using our physical senses.

I have had several challenges that I did not know what to do or where to turn but to simply hope on God, trusting absolutely on His divine intervention. And miraculously, He Has NEVER failed.

Sometimes the answers may not come materially. He could choose to send someone to minister to me in order to uplift my spirit, and some other times, He meets those needs through the wonderful people He has put in my life.

Just last week, one of the wonderful families that God has put in our lives called us to come pick up some supplies for our ministry, which has been their usual habit for years. On our way back I felt led in my spirit to sow them into the lives of certain families around us and before I could utter a word, my beautiful wife and co-labourer said *”Dear, don’t you think we should give these items to so and so people?”* confirming what the Lord had just laid in my heart.

At the end of the day, I saw joy on the faces of those people like I had never seen.

Even though I have seen how joyful people can be when God blesses them, the joy I saw on the faces of those families seemed like nothing I had seen that I was almost moved to tears, and then it dawned on me that no matter what you are going through today, God has already made divine arrangements to meet your needs, just as with the case of these ones.

Now listen to this: FAITH FAILURE IS FATAL FAILURE BUT CHARACTER FAILURE IS WORSE.

Besides our faith in God, we must learn to build character because sometimes the challenges we go through has nothing to do with God but ourselves. Besides our relationship with God, we need to build quality relationship with the people around us.

God does not throw down His blessings to us from heaven, He uses men and women to meet those needs.

There are several wonderful people that God has used and is still using to minister to me, my family and ministry, however it would never have been possible if we did not have good relationships with them.

Just imagine what life would be if we tried going through it without building relationships with the people around us.

This is not to say we should lay our burden on people. No! But the truth is, NO ONE CAN GO THROUGH LIFE WITHOUT BEING DEPENDENT ON OTHERS AT ONE POINT OR ANOTHER! Having this in mind will help you build quality relationships with the people around you because you can never tell when God will give you the answer to your prayer through them.

In the case of Saul (later called Paul), you would see that Ananias did not understand why Jesus wanted to heal him after all his atrocities. Left to him alone, Paul would have remained blind all his life. That is how God has laid in the hearts of men to bless some people but their characters and relationships with those around them have denied them of those blessings.

Beloved, this is to encourage you today that beyond building a quality walk with God, you must also build good relationships with the people around you.

It is my prayer for you today that you will not miss the blessings that God has laid in the hands of those around you, in Jesus Name.

Prayer Point: Father, as I walk with you, help me to build quality relationships with those around me, in Jesus Precious Name.

You are blessed!
