Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. (Romans 15:13, KJV)
I read the testimony of a young man in the United States of America who was told by his doctors a little over a year ago that he was was going to die. In his own words, he said the doctors said “I’m sorry Mr…. there is nothing else we can do for you. I think it’s time to call your family and have them come up and say their goodbyes. We are giving you at least 72 hours”.
I guarantee you that this is one line nobody wants to hear.
According to him, he said on hearing that news, everything flash before his eyes and he knew, or rather, he thought it was the end.
He said he believes in God but also believed in God’s will. As he watched his family and friends cry, he cried even more and wanted to ask God why but he knew deep down in His heart that God was not done with him yet.
As you read this, it’s been over a year and the young man is still bouncing in the Lord!
Hope according to dictionary.com is to look forward to with desire and reasonable confidence. To believe, desire, or trust.
The Bible speaking about Abraham in Romans 4:18 says
Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
Abraham was saturated with HOPE! He had hope running through his veins like they were his blood! No wonder the Bible says:
… Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness. (Genesis 15:6, Romans 4:3.)
Hope is having the ability to see beyond today’s reality; to see beyond the current challenges and to see beyond the limitations that others see!
Hope is seeing with your spirit what God has promised you!
Hope is what makes people say you are not well because your thoughts have gone the five senses into a realm where only the Spirit of God can access!
Hope is knowing that God will not let Himself down on what He has said concerning you.
Imagine the young man in the midst of specialist doctors saying he knew that God was not through with him even though he was given only three days. And God who cannot let His own down showed up just in the nick of time!
What is it that the doctors have told you? Or what is it that seem to have defiled human solutions? Beloved, it is time to seek the face of God. Remind Him of His promises for you and carry a winner’s mentality!
You see, one funny thing about having your hope in God is that because it does not align with our five senses, it tends to make people think you have gone mad! Remember Festus in Acts 26:24
And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.
Because Apostle Paul was over soaked in his hope in the Lord, he was thought to be mad!
Beloved of the Lord, I do not know what you are trusting God for, but I decree in the Name that is above other names, this week, your hands will lay hold of it, in Jesus Name!
I curse anything in your life that seem to have defiled human solutions, in the Name of Jesus!
You are walking free today, in Jesus Mighty Name!
Prayer Point: Father, strengthen my faith in You and let my hope come alive, in Jesus Precious Name!
REMAIN EVER BLESSED!!!
