BEING BLESSED BY THE GREATER!

blessings1

And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. (Matthew 2:11, KJV)

For some days now I have been hearing very strongly in my spirit, the words God spoke to my father, Bishop David Oyedepo when he said: “the less is blessed of the greater” and I know without any doubt that when God speaks, not only does He have a purpose, but He is sure to bring it to pass. And I also know that God is set to do something in your life.

I once heard my grandpa, Pastor E. A. Adeboye advice not to go see one’s parents, elders, pastors or mentors empty handed. And indeed the above scripture confirms the importance of bearing gifts on visits.

Before the wise men located Jesus, they had visited king Herod who wanted to kill Jesus, and possibly, the wise men, but because God’s Word says in Proverbs 18:16

“A man’s gift maketh room for him…”

That was averted. But their warning came after they had presented their gifts to Christ.

Whenever I go visit my mentors or spiritual fathers I go bearing gifts and I have experienced several unexpected favours in return.

It is important to know that when God said in Malachi 3:10 that we should honour Him with our tithes and offering, He was saying come and be blessed, for He said “… prove me now…”

God does not need you or your money for anything, but you need Him for everything, for the less is blessed by the greater.

Giving isn’t giving until it is done with joy and that is what provokes the result thereof.

Giving to spiritual authority is tapping into its virtues.

From today, as you begin to trade this divine secret, you will soon realize that indeed it is more blessed to give than to receive!

It is well with you!
