And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the Lord: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord. (2 Chronicles 20:4, KJV)
There are storms that challenge our day to day life and there are certain things man cannot handle himself no matter how much or how hard he tries.
Man in faced with series of challenges every single day, many of which he can NEVER surmount without divine intervention and God in His infinite mercy and love has offered man a blank cheque to call on Him when confronted with the challenges of life; Jeremiah 33:3. But man, not willing to accept the terms and conditions of God’s offer, would rather continue to struggle, because to him God’s terms does not offer worldly pleasure.
Jehoshaphat, king of Judah saw trouble coming and knew in his heart that he could not face the battle alone, thus, he and his people ran to God for help, knowing fully well that… “for by strength shall no man prevail”; 1 Samuel 2:9.
The Word of God in 2 Chronicles 7:14 says;
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
It is the absolute dependency on God and the turning away from our wicked and unrighteous ways and accepting the righteousness of God that guarantees man’s victory over every challenge in life but man would rather depend on science and theories which have not and will never bring solution to life’s challenges.
When God called people like Abraham, Moses, Paul the Apostle and other great men of God in the bible days, He never gave them a road map to the fulfilment of their purpose, He only called and they followed and depended absolutely on Him.
But He has given us Jesus and Jesus is the only way that guarantees us the absolute answer to all life’s question; John 10:9-10. With the assurance that there is a solution to all the problems in life in Jesus, the question now is, “will you run to Him and trust Him absolutely to help you?”
It is well with you!
