Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. (Isaiah 1:18, KJV)
The above passage is a call to friendship and help. Man after creation was made head over all God created, but even in the midst of abundance man could still not see the glorious future God has for him that is why he sinned and God knowing man would perish by self effort extends His hands of mercy towards him. The scripture says our iniquities have separated between us and God, and our sins have hid his face from us, that he will not hear when we call. And God knowing that sin will kill us is stretching out His hands of help, friendship and deliverance towards us.
In this times and season of wickedness, lewdity and immorality, instead of man, the offender, to accept God’s help (the offended), are the ones wanting to dictate the terms and conditions of the friendship. No wonder the bible says in Acts 10:14;
“But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
Instead of us to accept responsibility for our mistakes, we would want to make excuses.
God says to present our bodies holy and acceptable but we say; God you don’t know anything, its fashion to show off our private parts, draw tattoos and do all the crazy things we do.
God is saying to you this morning to turn away from sin and accept His offer of friendship so He can help you.
Why struggle with sin when He is freely offering to help?
As you accept the call to friendship today, I pray you see the manifestation of His power in your life in Jesus Mighty name!
